History

BRC was established in 1977 to foster the development of
the construction industry in Jordan. This was realized
by developing construction materials and systems,
preparing building codes and specifications, providing
consultation and technical services, as well as carrying
out Research and development projects including:

BRC offers these services with to high
standard by qualified and well-trained staff under
professional supervision and management. The services are
provided to both the public and private sectors, at the
local and regional levels, including governmental
institutions and agencies, universities, private consultants
and engineering design offices as well as construction
companies and individuals. |

Mission and Goals

We aspire to be a pioneer in the
construction industry sector in Jordan and the region
through providing distinctive services in the area of
Research and development, applied and pure research,
preparation of building codes and technical
specifications, laboratory testing, specialized
consulting services, and certified and specialized
training related to new knowledge technology and
innovation. We strive also to facilitate the
understanding and use of innovative ideas, technologies,
and practices for the betterment of the construction
industry. In so doing, we extend engineering knowledge
through creative and innovative research.
To fulfill its mission BRC pools on the expertise of
some 80 highly skilled and motivated staff members with
different specializations, enabling the setting up of
multidisciplinary teams tailored to tackling and solving
the problem at hand.
