Welcome to the Building Research Centre 

 

   Welcome to the Building Research Centre (BRC) and allow me to give you this brief introduction to our technical centre.

BRC was established in 1977 to foster the development of the construction industry in Jordan. This was realized by developing construction materials and systems, preparing building codes and specifications, as well as providing consultation and technical services including testing, calibration and training.

BRC activities associated with civil engineering research and practice include:

 
Research and development projects in scientific and technological fields related to construction.
Architectural and structural design.
Town planning and surveying.
Civil engineering consultations and project management.
Appraisal and rehabilitation of structures including condition evaluation and repair.
Development of building systems.
Development of codes, specifications and manuals for guidance in the design and construction practice.
Site and laboratory testing and analysis.
Calibration of construction testing equipment.
Training.

  BRC organizes and offers these services with a very high standard and under the supervision of qualified and well-trained staff.
