Ma’an Industrial Estate Project

Specialists at the Building Research Centre of the Royal Scientific have recently finished work on planning a complete industrial estate in south province of Jordan, 8 kilometers east of the city of Ma’an at the intersection of roads: Ma’an-Jafer, Mudawara.

The total area of the site of Ma’an Industrial Estate project is equal to (245 1000 m2). The general layout of the project was planned in a manner so that it could be carried out into three consecutive phases of almost equal areas, about (65 000 m2) each. The project was also planned to have integrated services and infrastructure networks that can easily expand in the future.

The project consists of the following main components:

Administrative complex situated in phase (1) of the project with a total roof area of (2075) m2.
(122) Investment plots distributed over (9) investment sectors for phase (1) of the project, (152) investment plots distributed over (12) investment sectors for phase (2) of the project, and (91) investment plots distributed over (8) investment sectors for phase (3) of the project.
Integrated networks of primary and secondary roads of different widths with a total length of (15 357) m and a total paved area of (162 600) m2 for all 3 phases.
Integrated infrastructure networks (water, storm, sewerage, electricity, street lighting, communications and fire hydrants) for each phase of the project.
Activated sludge “Extended Aeration” wastewater treatment plant situated in the northeast part of the project where the dominant wind direction is western to southwestern.
45-meter high reinforced concrete elevated water tank with a storage capacity of 450 m3.
One reinforced concrete ground water reservoir for each phase of the project with a capacity of 1500 m3.
Allocation of (23 700) m2 in phase (1) of the project for main transformer station installation.
Allocation of (3000) m2 in phase (1) of the project for primary exchange construction.
Entrance gate to phase (1) of the project from the road to jafr and entrance gate to phase (3) of the project from the road to Mudawara.

With partial contribution from some local consulting firms, Ma’an Industrial Estate project was successfully planned to fully integrate and served with various infrastructure networks with all the feasibility for future extension.
