A change has occurred to the name of "The Enterprise Support and Conformity Assessment Department" to become "The Conformity Assessment Center" which is a name that is more suitable to the type and form of activities that the center provides.
Accreditation
CAC is accredited by the National Accreditation Body of Greece (ESYD) as a proof of its effective quality and management system of operation that take as per the international practices. This certifies that it is now qualified to provide various Product and Personnel Certificates according to international practices stipulated under the terms of standards
(EN 45011) for bodies operating certification of products that fall under the scope of the following standards:

EN 1469: 2005 Natural stone products Slabs for cladding Requirements.

EN 12057: 2005 Natural stone products. Modular tiles. Requirements.

EN 12058:2005 Natural stone products. Slabs for floors and stairs. Requirements.
And standard (EN 17024) for bodies operating certification of persons according to the scope of ISO 9712:2005
Agreements and Memorandums of Understanding
- Signing an MoU with the Technical Research Institute of Sweden (SP) providing guidelines for cooperation in the fields of certification and testing and recognition of ESCAD.

Signing an MoU with JUMP (Jordan Upgrading and Modernization Program) that provides the guidelines for mutual cooperation in providing support to SME’s that are seeking qualification to affix the European conformity mark (CE Marking).

A Technical Cooperation Agreement was signed between RSS and BM TRADA Middle East on the Nov 24th, 2008. Where a program will be established within ESCAD for the certification services defined in the scope of the agreement that includes services in the areas of Quality Management System (ISO 9001), Environmental Management System (ISO 14001), Food Safety Management System(ISO22000) and other systems.

The Royal Scientific Society signed an agreement with the International Red Cross Committee relating to testing and Certification services which are provided by the Conformity Assessment Center. This agreement became official and binding to both signing parties from the date of its signing, 22nd of April 2009.
