Upgrading the center’s laboratories:

Upgrading the testing laboratories to include toys testing, personal protective equipments, electrical equipments, electronic components and Battery’s labs.

Upgrading the Calibration Laboratories to include 14 new labs. In the physical, electrical and mechanical calibration.

Regional Training programs in cooperation with international institutions:

Conducting a series of "Third Country Training Program" in cooperation with the "Japan International Cooperation Agency” (JICA), in the field of "Maintenance of Biomedical Equipment” for engineers from Palestine for 8 years (1996-2003). 80 biomedical engineers benefited from the program .

Conducting a series of "Third Country Training Program” in cooperation with the "Japan International Cooperation Agency” (JICA), in the field of "Calibration of Measuring Equipment and Testing of Electrical Equipment” for engineers from the Palestinian Standards Institution for 3 years (2004-2006). 36 engineers benefited from the program .

Continuous training programs for newly graduate engineers in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Works.

Continuous training programs for newly graduate engineers in cooperation with the Jordanian Engineers Association.

Continuous training programs for electrical and electronic engineering students in cooperation with the Jordan universities.

Health Sector:

Establishing a technical cooperation between RSS and the Ministry of Health through the "Directorate of Biomedical Engineering” and ESTC. The agreement which started in 2002 pools the accumulated experiences of both parties (RSS & MOH) to serve the hospitals and medical centers of the public health sector in Jordan.

Signing an agreement with Palestine Private Hospital to provide maintenance services for biomedical equipment of the hospital through the Directorate of Biomedical Engineering.

Providing maintenance and consultation services in the biomedical engineering field for several private hospitals.

Joint Ventures:

Establishing a joint venture agreement between RSS and Bureau Veritas through the "Middle East Laboratory Testing and Technical Services (MELTTS)” company. The company laboratories verify the compliance of electrical equipment of local and regional customers to local and international standards

Applied Research:

The ESTC R&D staff have designed, programmed and manufactured a wide range of applied research projects to help the different local community sectors.
