ICC undertakes studies, research work, laboratory
testing and technical consultation services in various
fields of industrial chemistry. It is also active in
developing standards and specifications for the chemical
industries in cooperation with Jordan Institute of
Standards and Metrology (JISM).
The ICC laboratories provide chemical and physical
analyses, in accordance with national and/or
international standards, for a wide variety of
materials, including food and feedstuff, pesticides,
medicinal and industrial gases, paint and lacquers,
fuels, mineral oils, textile and paper, cigarettes,
fertilizers, salts, detergents, metal alloys, cement,
industrial minerals and materials. Additionally, the
Center offers technical expertise relevant to the
inspection and certification of products.
ICC provides training for university students in
addition to specialized training for employees from both
the private and public sectors and for specialists from
universities and research centers in the region.
ICC has also recognized the urgent need for upgrading
its technical capabilities to serve the interest of
Jordan’s commitment to world trade agreements and other
protocols that have been ratified recently.
Since securing accreditation for laboratory testing and
analysis is important for ensuring smooth flow of
products with other countries, ICC has secured national
and international accreditation in several fields.
Acquiring and maintaining accreditation is a continuous
process.
The Center, through its highly-trained personnel and
well-equipped laboratories, is seeking new fields of
applied research to provide solutions to the challenges
that face national industry.
