IRADA, The Enhanced Productivity Centers Project, was launched in 2002 to assist in the establishment of various productivity projects by providing various advisory services and technical training to the owners of such projects. Irada is funded and managed by the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation and implemented by the Royal Scientific Society.
IRADA aims to encourage the private sector to assume its dynamic role in the economic development of Jordan and reduce unemployment and combating poverty in urban and rural areas.
In 2006 the Ministry and RSS signed an agreement, under which the later was tasked with the management of IRADA's 22 centres in various governorates. IRADA central management unit is located in Amman, regional managers are distributed in the north, the middle and the south of Jordan.
IRADA services are not exclusive to advisory services and preparation of feasibility studies for projects, the programme also provides continued necessary technical support and follow-up throughout the establishment phase and after implementation. It also includes training activities, preparation of lectures and training sessions designed to educate and bolster the skills of community members.
